On the front lines of progression once again, NYC is trying to make you healthier with shame. The New York Times says a new law requiring restaurants with over 15 locations to add a “high salt” label next to menu items will debut today. Menu items with over 2,500 mg of salt will now have a label which will indicate that high amounts of sodium will lead to high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke. Honestly, I think it’s a good idea! Sure people have their choice to eat what they want when they want, but others may just be ignorant to facts of what they are eating and how it’ll affect them in the long run.
