Terrible news from Fox 59 today as it appears the West Nile virus is on it’s way to Indianapolis. The mosquitoes that tested positive were captured in the Washington Township area, and no human cases have been reported as of yet.
While this may be cause for alarm for some, health officials want you to know this is not uncommon in the area. In fact, most people who get West Nile do not experience any symptoms at all. If you have cancer, diabetes, or kidney issues you may experience some joint pain or nausea, but less than 1% will contract the much publicized meningitis or severe neurological condition.
