Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s July 28th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting the day off with Birthdays, we have Richard Wright of Pink Floyd!
Other birthdays today include: Nick Banks of Pulp, Steve Peregrin Took of T. Rex, Gerald Casale of Devo, Simon Kirke of Free and Bad Company, and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach!
Moving onto releases now, we got Everything Now by Arcade Fire in 2017 and Black Sabbath’s Sabotage in 1975!
We lost Dusty Hill of ZZ Top in 2021 at the age of 72.
In 1979, Joe Perry called it quits with Aerosmith after getting into a screaming match with Steven Tyler following a show in Cleveland. Perry would be replaced by Jim Crespo, but would later rejoin the group in 1984.
And finally in 2012, Bruce Springsteen honors his late E Street Band member Clarence Clemons, who died a year prior, by performing Jungleland for the first time since his death, alongside Clemons’ nephew Jake on the saxophone (who nails the sax solo by the way!)
This has been Today in Rock History! Keep on Rocking, keep on Rolling! Check back tomorrow for your next rock history lesson!
