You may or may not have heard of the cat in Bakersfield, California, that saved it’s family’s child from a dog attack. The story went viral when a seven year old Tabby named Sara jumped into help when a boy was attacked by a neighbors dog and fought the dog off. Video of the event went viral and now Tara is regarded as “Dog of The Year” by the Los Angeles SPCA. Along with the pride in knowing she beat out several rival dogs, Tara will enjoy a years worth of free cat food!
