Today in Rock History – July 4

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s July 4th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Anyways, let’s officially begin the day with releases as we got The Sufferers & the Witness from Rise Against in 2006 and the Foo Fighters self-titled debut in 1995!

Birthdays today features Mark Slaughter of Slaughter, Kirk Pengilly of INXS, Jeremy Spencer of Fleetwood Mac and Moametal of Babymetal

The Clash played their first public show when they opened for The Sex Pistols in 1976.

In 2007, a woman admitted to a New Mexico court to stalking Chester Bennington of Linkin Park. The stalker used government computers to obtain Chester’s personal information, e-mail accounts, and phone number!

In 1971, the legendary concert venue Fillmore West closed its door

And finally, Ozzy and Sharon got hitched on this day in 1982. Ozzy would later confess that the 4th of July date was chosen so he wouldn’t forget their anniversary!
