Some shocking news came out late Friday as Foo Fighter drummer Josh Freese announced he had been fired from the band via his Instagram. He doesn’t go into specifics about his firing in the post, but it’s leaving fans to speculate on if the out of nowhere firing was due to jealousy within the group, infighting, or things just never working out.
Freese was a member of the band for almost two years exactly following the announcement of him joining in 2023, as he replaced former drummer Taylor Hawkins after Hawkins’ death in 2022.
What’s next for the Foo Fighters now? Will Dave Grohl return to the kit? Or will the long speculated idea of Taylor’s son Shane taking up his father’s drum set? It’s not that crazy as Shane is now 18. But its all speculation at this point.
