Today in Rock History – May 6

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s May 6th and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Starting off with releases today. We have both JET’s Dirty Sweet EP and Take This to Your Grave by Fall Out Boy in 2003, and Back from the Dead by Halestorm in 2022

Moving onto birthdays now, we have to one and only Bob Seger of the Silver Bullet Band and Chris Shiflett of the Foo Fighters

We lost Brian Howe of Bad Company in 2020

In 2007, Amy Lee of Evanescence gets married to Bring Me To Life inspiration Josh Hartzler

In 2005, Audioslave becomes the first US rock group to perform in Cuba for free when they perform at La Tribuna in Havana.

And finally, the battle between Pearl Jam and Ticketmaster is on the horizon as the band cancels their 1994 summer tour due to being unable to find venues that don’t use the ticketing service. The band was against Ticketmaster due to the huge fees that it adds.
