Ok now moving on, it’s a slow one today for a variety of reasons. But its a strong day for birthdays! Starting off, its former Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars’ birthday today!

It’s also Andy Khachaturian of System of a Down’s and Mike Dirnt of Green Day’s birthdays

Moving onto releases now, we have The Oracle by Godsmack and Hot Space by Queen

We lost Adam “MCA” Yauch of the Beastie Boys from cancer in 2012

In 1991, Texas Governor Ann Richards declared that May 4th as “ZZ Top Day”

And finally in 1973, Led Zeppelin begins their 1973 North American tour. Billed as the “Biggest and Most Profitable Rock & Roll Tour in the history of the US,” the band earned over $4 million from the tour.
