Starting off in 1994 as Courtney Love was arrested for drug and theft charges after an overdose. This is important because, at the time, Love didn’t know that her husband, Kurt Cobain was dead at their home. His body wouldn’t be discovered until the next day by an electrician.

It’s John Cooper of Skillet’s birthday today

In 2017, the 32nd Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place. Inductees included ELO, Journey, YES, and Pearl Jam.

In 1977, The Damned become the first British Punk band to perform live in the US when they played the first of their four night residence at CBGB’s in New York.

In 1990, Farm Aid IV takes place at the Hoosier Dome in Indianapolis, featuring groups and artists from many genres of music (some of note include Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Iggy Pop, Elton John), the show would be the last time Steven Adler would play with Guns N Roses due to his drug addiction.

And finally in 1988, Alice Cooper accidentally hung himself during a rehearsal for his European tour. Cooper dangled for several seconds after the safety rope snapped and was saved by a roadie.
