Today in Rock History – March 23

Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s March 23rd and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!

Its a slow one today. And I mean slow. Starting off with birthdays we have Bill Kelliher of Mastodon and Damon Albarn of Blur and Gorillaz.

Moving onto releases we have Van Halen II in 1979 and Eliminator from ZZ Top in 1983

And speaking of ZZ Top, on this day in 2002, member Dusty Hill gets married.

And finally, yes really, in 2016, Metallica’s Master of Puppets enters the US National Recording Registry as it was chosen as a culturally significant recording

This has been Today in Rock History! Keep on Rocking, keep on Rolling! Check back tomorrow for your next rock history lesson!
