Indianapolis Colts star Grover Stewart has issued an apology after learning he’s been suspended for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs.

In a message posted on Instagram, the defensive tackle says he’s sorry for the violation – while maintaining he was “surprised” to learn of his test results. “I want to apologize to the National Football League, the Colts organization, my teammates, our fans, and my family,” Stewart writes. “I was surprised and disappointed to learn I had violated the policy. I respect the integrity of the game and would never purposefully put myself or the team in this kind of situation. I will learn from this moving forward, and I will take the appropriate measures to ensure this never happens again.”

Stewart, who turns 30 this week, will be eligible to return on December 4th, per the NFL.

Is six weeks enough time for a player to learn a lesson? What would be? Thanks, Killabrew.
