World Central Kitchen was founded in 2010 by chef José Andrés, and they have been pivotal in providing meals to people in need since then. They were on the ground in Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, in Houston after Hurricane Harvey, around California for various wild fires and a slew of other countries and cities.
Currently, WCK has set up multiple kitchens in Ukraine to help feed people fleeing the country. Metallica has decided to kick of their Month of Giving early to provide additional aid to the cause.
Pre-orders are being accepted now for an exclusive band tee designed by Andrew Cremeans. Proceeds from sales will go to World Central Kitchen so they can continue their work in Ukraine.
