UPDATE: Crackers Comedy Club To Reopen

Updated 1/18/2022

Well that was a quick turnaround! Monday, January 17, Crackers Comedy Club owner Ruth-Anne Herber announced that the club won’t close after all.

Herber told WTHR, “My landlord and I worked it out! I am still in business.” She said the building owner reached out to her, and they were able to come to an agreement.

After four years in business, Crackers Comedy Club in Indianapolis has officially closed its doors for good.

The owner, Ruth-Anne Herber told IBJ that Wednesday was the club’s last day in business, as she wasn’t able to come to an agreement with the landlord. She also mentioned road construction, recent protests, and the pandemic as additional obstacles.

At one point, there were five different locations throughout the Indy area.

Herber plans to sell furnishings and equipment owned by the club.
