If you were to tell me the queen of pop diva’s and the lead singer of one of the biggest rock bands of the 90’s were getting together to perform a song I wouldn’t believe you. If you were to go on to tell me that they would then go on to perform a song of the greatest Reggae legend of all time I’d say you’re out of your mind! Yet, the world received a surprise when Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and Beyonce took the stage to perform Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” for New York’s Global Citizen Festival.
How was it? It certainly was something different than the Marley classic, but it stood on it’s own as a worthy cover! Hear it below.
