During Black History Month we celebrate Heroes with Indianapolis connections like Mozel Sanders, Madam C.J. Walker and many others. 93.9 The Beat would also like to recognize everyday unheralded Heroes who make significant contributions to the African American community in Central Indiana. That’s where we want your help! If there’s someone you consider a local Hero, tell us their story! Maybe they deliver meals to the elderly, volunteer at a shelter or mentor troubled teens…whatever the story we want to hear about it. Each week during Black History Month we’ll honor local Heroes submitted by you!
