If you’ve missed your Frisco Melts and cheese fries, this Steak ‘n Shake news might just put a pep in your step. After temporarily closing 107 stores last year, the restaurant chain has plans to reopen many of them in the near future.
Restaurant Business says that most of the company-owned locations will reopen, but sans waitstaff. To save money, they would offer counter service only.
Steak ‘n Shake is working to sell all of the company-owned locations to franchisees and have apparently received around 17,000 applications.
No word yet on how many locations will reopen and where they will be.
