Empire has returned for it’s second season and while we don’t know everything that’s going to happen, there’s been a few things revealed over the Summer that give us an idea of what we can expect in the Lyon’s upcoming year.
1. Lucious Lyon Will NOT Be Silenced And Will Be In ALL of Season 2
Some of us are breathing a sigh of relief right now, while others might be worried about what other drama the head of the Lyon’s can stir up. Earlier this year it was leaked that Terrence Howard was stepping away from the show and having his role reduced due to personal issues in real court with his ex wife. Those rumors were quickly shot down by show runner Lee Daniels who said there is no reduction of Howard’s role and we will see plenty of the Lucious Lyon in season 2!
2. Star Power
The first season of Empire had a few notables jumping on the bandwagon before the world got on board, but now the star power is in full force. Seriously check out this list and tell me you aren’t pumped…

3. The Music Will Be Even Better And Feature More Star Collabs
Two songs from season two are already available for you to listen to. The first track features Pit Bull and was co written with Ne-Yo. The second track has the Lyon brothers teaming up for what looks to be another epic track. Hear both below!
4. Cookie Will Finally Get Hers
Probably the best news in the list! Early footage of the show tells us, at least for the time being, Cookie is running things. I’m ready to see her at the helm of Empire records doing her thing!
5. There Will Be Drama
Well duh, that’s Empire. That being said all of the cast has really been pushing the fact that this season will push all the boundaries it broke during it’s first season! I can’t wait to see what that means! Empire is on Wednesday’s 9 pm on Fox!
