Dark Pictures has acquired the rights to Scott Weiland’s memoir Not Dead & Not for Sale and, according to Hollywood Reporter, they will be writing a movie based on the book. The film will be titled Paper Heart, and it will cover the life and untimely death of the Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver singer.
The co-founder of Dark Pictures, Jennifer Erwin, is a huge STP fan and will have a hand in writing the script.
“It’s an honor to have the trust to tell Scott’s story and the ability to portray the lesser known sides of him – the loving and tender man he was, the high school athlete he was, the melancholy soul he was and the legendary front man that he will always be,” Erwin said in a statement.
No word on when the film will start production.
