Starting the day with releases, we got Loaded from The Velvet Underground in 1970!
We also got Licensed to Ill from the Beastie Boys in 1986. Exactly two years later, Beastie left Def Jam and signed with Capitol Records.
In 1999, just a day before the release of their new album Issues, Korn played the entirety of their album from start-to-finish at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem.
Moving onto birthdays we have Frank Infante of Blondie and Chad Kroeger of the greatest band ever (said a small majority), Nickelback!
The Rolling Stones made their US TV debut on a 1965 episode of Hullabaloo. The group performed their song Get Off Of My Cloud
And finally in 1992, Ozzy Osbourne played the final show on his farewell tour, ‘No More Tours’. His former band Black Sabbath opened for the Ozzman with Rob Halford of Judas Priest on lead vocals. Ozzy would return to the studio and touring just 3 years later.
