Are you ready to learn some stuff? It’s November 23rd and here’s what happened Today in Rock History!
Today’s edition of Today in Rock History is probably the shortest one we’ve ever had. So, let’s start with releases. We got The Spaghetti Incident? from Guns N Roses in 1993 as well as their follow up to that album 15 years later with Chinese Democracy in 2008!
We also got Joan Jett & The Blackhearts 1981 classic I Love Rock ‘n Roll!
Other releases include Blue from Third Eye Blind in 1999 and Against the Grain from Bad Religion in 1990!
After his show at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York in 1998, Marilyn Manson has a run-in backstage with SPIN magazine editor Craig Marks. Marks claimed that Manson assaulted him and threatened to kill him due to Manson not getting on the cover of the magazine.
And finally in 1991, Freddie Mercury confirmed his AIDS diagnosis in a press release. He would die the next day.
This has been Today in Rock History! Keep on Rocking, keep on Rolling! Check back tomorrow for your next rock history lesson!
