Ozzy may be gone, but his impact and work just hasn’t stopped as earlier today Ozzy posthumously joined metal giants Judas Priest for a new charity single: a cover version of the Sabbath classic War Pigs!
The charity single is available on a variety of music streamers now, with all profits from streams, downloads, and physical sales will be donated to both The Glenn Tipton Parkinson’s Foundation and Cure Parkinson’s.

The cover is very Priest with the driving drums and the double guitar sound, but it still sticks with the heavy vibe of the original tune. The metal masterwork also got a fresh coat of paint with the dualling vocals of both Rob Halford and Ozzy. Not sure if they re-recorded Ozzy’s vocals or used some sort of producing wizardry, but the Blizzard sounds great. A little too clean for my liking though. Halford still has that growl you’d come to expect, so that evens things out.
These two greats proved they still got it, even with Ozzy seemingly performing from the metal grave.
