Some breaking news over night, courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter, as the Foo Fighters announced their brand new drummer!
Illan Rubin, known for his work with Nine Inch Nails, Paramore and more, will be joining the band after drummer Josh Freese was relieved of duty earlier this year.
Rubin has such an interesting style and sound that it’s going to bring a new feeling to the Foo Fighters’ “rhythm section.” We’ll have to see how it plays out.
But in an odd twist of fate, Freese will be switching places with Rubin as NIN’s touring drummer for their upcoming tour. The Nails announced Freese’s involvement in a not so subtle X post
