Downtown Indy Bar At Risk Of Losing Liquor License

You might have to get a new spot if this downtown bar is your go to. On Monday, March 7, the Marion County Beverage Board said Taps and Dolls should not have a liquor license.

The final decision will be made by the Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission, but the MCBB recommended the license not be renewed.

IMPD members joined community leaders in testifying at the Monday night meeting. According to WTHR, some of the issues mentioned included fights, shootings and large, unruly crowds on the weekends. Taps and Dolls also reportedly has a 15-page list of violations.

Tiki Bob’s was also part of the discussion, but ultimately the board decided to renew their liquor license for another year.

While the IATC makes their finals decisions about the bars’ licenses, they can both remain open and are able to serve alcohol.
