Indianapolis Donut Shop Closes After Nearly 60 Years

Donuts

It’s been on the north side of Indianapolis since 1962—first as a Mister Donut and then as Donut Shop Bakery. But the shop at 5227 N. Keystone Avenue is now closed and seeking a new owner, according to IBJ.

Owner Romeo Reyes passed away a couple of months ago after a battle with pancreatic cancer. His family decided to close the business, making the announcement on Google and thanking customers in a post last month.

The announcement went on to say, “It has been an honor to serve the South Broad Ripple community for over 30 years! Thank You!”

If you’re interested in owning a donut shop or the building, it is for sale.
