Independence Day is coming and here in Indianapolis we are declaring this Fourth of July INDYpendence Day. 93.9 X is encouraging Hoosiers to get the shot now to be able to safely gather together for family functions and backyard barbeques during the holiday weekend! Where can I get the COVID vaccine?
Many pharmacies such as CVS and Walgreens offer the vaccine, as well as stores like Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart and Meijer. You can see all of the locations near you and schedule your appointment at ourshot.in.gov

How much does it cost to get vaccinated?
Nothing, the federal government is covering the cost.

Will the vaccine make me sick with COVID?
No, but you might have symptoms. This is normal and a sign of the body building up protection to the virus.

What are the most common side effects?
Pain, redness, and swelling in the arm where you received the shot, as well as tiredness, headache, muscle pain, chills, fever, and nausea.

How long does protection last?
This hasn’t been determined yet, however, some vaccines have shown to be effective for up to six months so far.

Can I get vaccinated while I’m sick with COVID?
No. You need to wait until you are no longer ill.

If I want to get pregnant one day, is it safe to get the vaccine?
Yes! There’s currently no evidence that the vaccine causes fertility or developmental issues.
