Monopoly is arguably the most famous board game of all time. Even though it’s a classic, it’s made some changes over the years, including adding new game pieces and releasing special editions.
But for the first time in over 85 years, the community chest cards are getting an update. The goal, according to CNN, is to bring the cards into the 21st century.
“Covering topics like beauty contests, holiday funds, and life insurance, there is no denying the Monopoly game’s Community Chest Cards are long overdue for a refresh,” Hasbro said in a press release.
They have some new options ready to go, but they want fans to vote on the final cards. Some of the choices are shopping local all week, running in a race for charity, and helping build a school playground.
