The Crispy Chicken Sandwich Wars continue and now TACO BELL has entered the arena? YES. Is it a sandwich? A taco? Also yes.
Right now it’s only available in test cities: Nashville, TN and Charlotte, NC. It rolled out in those cities’ Taco Bell stores on March 11.
Is it a sandwich or a taco? You decide. Try our new Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco in regular or spicy. Testing at select locations in Nashville, TN & Charlotte, NC starting March 11. pic.twitter.com/7SaC628a40

Most competitors are doing a regular or spicy bread chicken breast with a couple pickle chips on a bun. Taco Bell’s features some jalapeños for a kick and it comes with “puffy bread” in place of a traditional tortilla. I think it kinda looks like a sandwich that’s missing a bun and someone’s just trying their best. Maybe it’s better for people counting their carbs?
Folks in Nashville and Charlotte have already taken to social media to offer up their reviews and so far, they’re good things.

No word yet on when they will go out to the rest of the country, but according to Business Insider, they’ll be $2.49, which is just a little cheaper than the sandwiches you can get from the other chains. And apparently there will be more to come. A spokesperson said,
“Taco Bell fans everywhere will be excited to know this isn’t our only crispy chicken innovation arriving in 2021.”
Heyoooooo!
