Indy’s Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade Has Been Cancelled

This probably doesn’t come as a surprise, but for the second year in a row, the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Indianapolis has been cancelled due to the pandemic. The cancellation also includes the 29th Annual Shamrock Run.

“We had hoped we could hold the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and the Shamrock Run/Walk as we have for so many years, but as we approach another year, the pandemic shows no signs of weakening any time soon,” Robert Welch, Athletic Club Foundation Chair told CBS 4.

While the parade and run/walk have been called off, the Greening of the Canal will still happen on March 17.
