Indiana State Senator Introduces Bill To Make This Indiana’s State Snack

popcornWe have a state bird, flower and flag…why not add a snack to the mix? That’s what state senator Ron Grooms of Jeffersonville is aiming to do with his recent bill.

And what better snack to represent our midwestern state than popcorn? According to Grooms, Indiana is second in popcorn production, coming in only behind Nebraska.

According to The Statehouse File, the Senate Agriculture Committee voted to pass the bill and it has moved on for a full senate vote.

However, Senate President Rodric Bray told WAVE 3, “I’ve got a lot of other things to focus on.”
