2020 was supposed to be year to go places, but instead I was just hitting up the grocery store to feel something. If you want to fly anywhere in 2021, you may need to prove that you’ve been vaccinated for COVID-19.
According to CNN, CommonPass is working out a digital way to show proof via smartphone.
That may present other obstacles… They are thinking through how to accommodate folks that don’t have smartphones. Some might be concerned with privacy of medical records and that’s on their mind too. Plus, we won’t know if this will be an effective way to control the virus while people travel until we have a better idea on if COVID-19 can pass from vaccinated people.
It’s not clear when this would roll out in the new year, but I imagine it would have to happen once the vaccine becomes more widely available.
