IMS Cancels Lights At The Brickyard For 2020

Well,  we already lost Circle of Lights (it’s still happening, just on TV instead of a huge gathering this year) and now it looks like we’ve lost Lights at the Brickyard.

The IMS event started in 2016 and since then it’s been sort of a tradition for many people. As the name suggests, the holiday event saw the speedway decorated with hundreds of lights, and cars would drive around the track to check them out.

Here’s a partial statement from a spokesperson posted on WTHR‘s website: “We appreciate everyone who has come out to celebrate the holiday season with us in recent years. It has been a pleasure to share such a special time of year with our fans.”

When pressed if Lights at the Brickyard would return in 2021, the spokesperson said that will be evaluated.
