When I lived in Broad Ripple, I went to baby Kroger a few times. That’s what we called it, baby Kroger, because it was like half the size of a traditional store.

The store on Guilford will close in about a month according to the Indy Star. According to Kroger, a financial analysis revealed a turnaround wasn’t possible.

Kroger said the poor performance is specific to the location and not to the chain as a whole.

1954 is when the location first opened. Around 40 employees will be offered positions at nearby Kroger stores.
