It’s like something out of a horror story. Fox 59 says Anderson resident Thirea Brown was kidnapped from her home when two men wearing masks made popular by the movie Scream broke into her apartment. The men then contacted Brown’s boyfriend, Dayquan Swain, and demanded a $20k ransom and drugs. Swain contacted police who then listened and tracked the criminals repeated calls through the night.
Brown was eventually dumped on a country road over 12 hours later unharmed and managed to make her way to safety through a Good Samaritan who allowed her to use their phone. The men believed to be her kidnappers were arrested by police but deny any involvement in the case.
Scary but glad everything turned out okay in the end.
