A routine traffic stop near the Lafayette interstate has one Indiana State officer coming under fire after an exchange he had with a woman he pulled over. JConline reports Stephanie Folz after she was pulled over by officer Thomas Manning for going 13 miles over the posted speed limit. Folz recorded the encounter on her phone and captured Manning asking her the following…
“How long have you been smoking Meth?”
Folz was taken aback and alleges she has never smoked meth in her life, and that her damaged teeth are due to the calcium taken by her two children during pregnancy. Manning then says he doesn’t believe her and then goes on to say that he’s writing her a ticket because she has been dishonest with him.
You can listen to the exchange below…while no one is alleging that Folz broken the law…it is interesting to note he said he would not have fined her had she not lied. If Folz has no record of meth use should she be exonerated of the ticket?
ISP LT. Tom Mckee has spoken with the ISP officer about being more tactful in future investigations, but maintains that the officer did not do anything unlawful.
