He said he’s always been a private person when it comes to his son, but Fat Joe has made the choice to open up about his pride and joy on his Facebook page.
After I read his post, I immediately got chills. Not many people realize but I worked with a special needs kid when I was in elementary school. I would take Brad out and hang with him during our recess. After moving on to junior high school, the amount of time I got to spend with Brad quickly shrank due to the lack of that “fun” time. Although I don’t get the chance to keep in touch with Brad, he is in the back of my mind as I reminisce on the time I was able to spend with him back in the day.
I definitely have no idea what parenting a kid with special needs would be like, but I can only imagine the pure joy any kid brings their parents every day, which is why Fat Joe’s words resonate with me so well.
There are over 460,000 Likes, almost 30,000 shares and over 10,000 comments so his words have clearly had an impact on so many people around the country!
