Many, at first, were concerned that they were being hassled by the IMPD for additional fees in exchange for more patrols in their area. It’s important to note that while Safe Indy does collaborate with off duty IMPD officers, that they are not affiliated with IMPD and their own stand alone security company.
The company has been around since 2010 and is run by Detective Kevin Lauerman.
