I’m sure you’ve seen the wildfire in Northern California that’s destroying property left and right. It’s easy to write off here in the Midwest as the yearly forest fire on the West Coast, but this video had an effect on me. We see a man escaping not just a forest fire, but his town, which is burning to the ground. Imagine driving through our city as it becomes nothing more than cinders and ash. There’s something terrifying and incredibly sad about this video, and makes me thankful events like this aren’t common in the midwest.
