Football is here, basketball is coming, and soon the leaves will be changing. In the 90s when it got cold sports fans donned perhaps my favorite piece of retro ware to date. Who didn’t have a 90’s Starter jacket back in the day?! I remember being at school wearing my Chicago Bulls (sorry Pacers nation but it was the peak of Jordan) jacket and feeling like the coolest kid in school! Sure the jackets were beyond puffy and made it difficult to squeeze through some places…but they kept you nice and toasty! Mine was even so fancy I could separate the puffy outer jacket to a windbreaker that lined the outside!
Starter sports jackets have become a bit of a collectors item among vintage fashionistas and can range anywhere from 70-100 dollars used (there’s quite a few on Etsy)! That’s practically what they cost when they came out….I’ll probably still pick one up though. Who else used to rock these back in the day!?
