What we at first thought was a ridiculous exaggeration in the clip from the Full House unauthorized movie…actually turns out to be true! John Stamos admitted to The Independent he did in fact try to get the Olsen Twins fired on Full House! So why did uncle Jesse want a new set of nieces?
“It’s sort of true that the Olsen twins cried a lot,” he said. “It was very difficult to get the shot. So I, ‘Get them out!’ That is actually 100 per cent accurate.”
He added, “They brought in a couple of unattractive redheaded kids. We tried that for a while and that didn’t work. [Producers] were like, ‘All right, get the Olsen twins back.’ And that’s the story.”
This may be some of the reason the Olsen’s are refusing to do the reboot…although I’m sure it can’t be pinned down to just one reason. Who would’ve thought John Stamos could be a bad guy?
